Sherlocked: The Vault Walkthrough (Text Only)

So I was keen to try this game because Sherlocked is a well-known escape room in Amsterdam, and I really wanted to try their mobile app. It's really worth the time, very awesome and realistic game!!

There are so many video uploads of the game (in fact I'm going to post my gameplay video on YouTube too - recently learnt how to take videos of my gaming experience which is awesome but really battery consuming..) I'm not going to post pictures here because I think my instructions are very self explanatory. Also, you can check out my Youtube video if you need visual hints!

Anyway you can download it at Play Store here. Don't think they have iOS version though.

---

Somewhere in Amsterdam, an object is hidden. An object whose very existence is forcefully denied, guarded by the most complex security system in the planet. So, if what we've heard about you is true, then we have a job for you. Consider this your interview.

The game starts.

You are in front of a green metal doo…

First Strike: Final Hour Tips and Tricks

Image
You can view the general guide/review here.

So this game is very simple to orientate:
Swipe your finger on the screen to rotate the globe and pull 2 fingers in the opposite direction to zoom (just like Virtual Villagers Origins 2 hehe)Click on each of your territory and click on the following options:Attack: Choose a territory that you wish to attack. Thankfully the game disallows you to self-destruct, so it will not release bombs into your own territoryDefend: When an enemy is launching a missile towards your direction, neighbouring territories can help to defend by releasing a bomb to nullify the enemy's Expand: You can click on other newly vacated lands beside yours to expand your territory. This helps you gain more space and creep up to enemies closer, which means you get to attack countries who are half the world away from you!Research: You can research the following:Efficiency: To enhance speed of building and expansionMissile: Increase the reach and power of missilesRecon: A…

First Strike: Final Hour Walkthrough

Image
Today I decided to be adventurous and download this award-winning mobile game - First Strike: Final Hour. I was thinking woah why does this game have so many awards, isn't it just a shooting game? So I downloaded it and tried.

Unfortunately, curiosity killed the cat. Or rather, killed 2 hours of my life.. And probably further more o_o

So the rules of the game is very similar to Plague Inc and Bio Inc, where instead of spreading plague around the world and diseases within one's body, we have to conquer the countries in the world. This is done via rockets and bombs.

The great thing about the game is that the graphics and effects are awesome, and there's a fast forward and pause button for you to alter the speed of the game. However, I really don't like the amount of clicking I have to do, and sometimes I cannot tell which land is mine and which belongs to the enemies. There is a lot of guess and check on the players' end... A lot of mixed reviews for this game but I…

Virtual Villagers Origins 2: New Update: New Puzzle 2! (Text Only)

Image
Yes!! A new update is here again! This is what it entails (or what's important to me): 1. A trading boat! Fixing the pier lets you complete puzzle 2. Puzzle 3 onwards are moved to puzzle 4 and so on, I'll adjust my puzzle guide later too. But seriously the techpoints are not important especially after you have maxed out your technologies. It's still a cool addition though!
2. Harvesting fixed! This means that you can get rhubarb, strawberry and blueberry without waiting for all of them to grow/fertilize. Yay!
3. Vine on stairs spawn as per normal! This is good cos we always need vines for ropes!
4. Removed confused feedback in the ocean. No more will the villagers be 'not sure what to do'. I was also unsure of what it meant but I guess it's now proven to be a red herring!
5. Fixed clothing hut feedback for braids. YES!!! This is the only thing pulling me back from puzzle 10 (now 11). I will complete the guide once I'm done!
And more: Not sure how raini…

Virtual Villagers Origins 2: Puzzle 8 + Puzzle 9 (Text Only)

Image
For the rest of the puzzles and other guides, you can refer to the general walkthrough or just scroll all the way to the end of the article! Good thing is that both puzzles 8 and 9 are not too difficult, hence being in the same page. I'm sure you'll move on to the last three levels pretty quickly!
Puzzle 8: Clay Hut
You can figure how to make the clay hut to complete puzzle 7 here. With the clay hut, you can house another 5 villagers. For starters, you need: Master builderMaster gathererLevel 3 construction technologyLevel 3 crafting technology
This level is simple yet difficult at the same time - simple in terms of number of steps needed, but difficult in terms of fulfilling the prerequisites.
The steps are:
Craft 12 clay bricks (it should take you 55 min per brick, refer here). You will need a master gatherer to move the clay bricks to the clay hut. After you have all 12 bricks at the clay hut, get a master builder to complete the hut.The puzzle is complete. Collect your lavasto…

Virtual Villagers Origins 2: Puzzle 6 + Puzzle 7 (Text Only)

Image
Puzzle 6: Garden
This page teaches you how to unlock the garden. Honestly, the garden does not do much except give you access to the rhubarb, strawberry, and blueberry, which will be important in puzzle 7 (pie) and puzzle 11 (coloured glass). Many of you may think it’s another source of food but nope.
Hint:You can start preparing fertilizers before attempting the puzzle to save time
Anyway, prerequisites: Master farmerLevel 2 farming technologyLevel 1 crafting technology Once you have achieved the following technology levels, the tree near the crafting hut should be dead and there should be a seed beside it. Use a master farmer to take the seed beside the dead treeThe farmer will move the seed to the garden and it will dry in 2 hoursDrag a child to dry gardenDrag a master farmer to the seed bag beside the research table. Do this 3 times - 1 for each fruit (rhubarb, strawberry and blueberry)Craft 3 fertilizers (which will take you about 4 hours and 10 minutes, or 250 minutes in total for…

Dingbats: Between the Lines Answers (Text Only)

Dingbats: Between the Lines is a puzzle game with various dingbats to solve.

According to Google, a dingbat is "a typographical device other than a letter or numeral (such as an asterisk), used to signal divisions in text or to replace letters in a euphemistically presented vulgar word." It simply is a word puzzle.

In this game, you have to decipher phrases or topics behind a set of words. I think it's really fun and challenging and everyone should try it!

Get it on the App Store and Google Play Store.

Links to answers to all the levels. Each level has around 21 puzzles.
